Surgery is stressful enough. Finding the information you need should not be.

Pulse Surgery Center is committed to making this website, our facility, and every conversation in between usable by everyone - including patients and caregivers who are blind or have low vision, who are Deaf or hard of hearing, who use a wheelchair or other mobility device, who use a screen reader or keyboard instead of a mouse, or who have a cognitive or learning disability.

This website

We are working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA - the international standard for accessible web content.

In practice, that means we build this site so that:

• Every page works with a keyboard alone, with a clear, visible indicator showing where you are.
• Every page works with a screen reader, with meaningful headings, labeled form fields, and descriptive link text.
• Text meets contrast standards, resizes to 200% without breaking, and reflows on a small screen.
• Images that carry meaning have text descriptions.
• Nothing flashes, moves, or times out in a way that gets in your way, and animation respects your device's reduced-motion setting.

We are not finished, and we would rather tell you that than claim otherwise. We test our pages, we fix what we find, and we recheck when we publish something new.

At the surgery center

• Accessible parking near the entrance, with a covered drop-off area
• A step-free, accessible entrance on the ground floor - Suite 110
• Accessible restrooms, pre-operative rooms, and recovery areas
• Wheelchairs available, no advance notice needed
• Other features: automatic doors, elevator, adjustable-height beds, and waiting area

Communicating with us

These services are free of charge, and you never have to bring your own interpreter or ask a family member to interpret for you.

• Qualified spoken-language interpreters, including Spanish
• Written information in large print
• Extra time, written summaries, or a support person present when that helps you understand your care

Please tell us when you schedule. It takes us a little time to arrange an interpreter or specific equipment, and we would rather have it ready and waiting than keep you waiting on the day of your procedure. Call 713.804.1959 or tell any staff member.

If something isn't working

If a page on this site, a document we sent you, or anything in our building is difficult or impossible for you to use, please tell us. We will fix it - and in the meantime, we will get you the information another way, right away.
